Oh, Hello There New Glassjaw

I woke up this morning to a knock on the door only to find a box that reads “Material Control” on the cover and the very recognizable Glassjaw logo. Open it up? There’s ten flexi-discs inside full of new music. I put one on to see for sure, and yep, it’s music. I’ll have to give it a full listen in a little bit. @Jason Tate Are all 10 duplicates of the whole LP? Or does each contain 1 or 2 songs form the LP?

Just saw your IG story. I have never seen a flexi-disc before. Weird shit.

 

They are very weird. And a pain in the ass to play.

 

Box has the track listing as only 10 songs. My copy and paste was bad. Fixed.

yooo just take a sharp knife and spin in along the inside hole and it'll fit your standard player

 

It fits fine. They just wobble and it messes with the timing. Usually I put another record under it to help stabilize, but they're still a pain to get right. Hah.

Randomly mailing out your first full length in 15 years with each track having to be played separately on a hard to play format might just be the most Glassjaw thing ever.

 

Yea, that thin vinyl is a difficult material to....control.

I think the only flexi-disc I own was a bonus live track Dine Alone threw into the very, very delayed Alexisonfire farewell tour vinyl boxset for those who were on the original pre-order. Don't think I've ever played it.

Oh, and very curious and excited for new Glassjaw!
