Do you go balm or oil?

 

Balm.

 

I finally had the opportunity this winter to grow my whole beard out, so I've only trimmed it once (with scissors) since September. I did a surprisingly decent job with the scissors, but I need to actually get a decent beard trimmer because it's getting a bit unkempt again. the philips beardtrimmer 7300 looks solid, but it's also $50. any suggestions?

 

Man I wonder if there's some kind of salve I could rub on my face to boost beard growth. Brogaine.

 

I have used this not only for my beard but to trim up my hair between cuts. I definitely recommend it.

 

That's what I got my dad for Christmas last year and he loves it.

 

I have essentially the same kit. Older model. Works great when I'm keeping it short.

I use Mane n' Tail shampoo and conditioner for my beard and it does wonders my friends.

 

I use it for my hair. Amazing stuff.

 

This thread is making me regret shaving last week. Without facial hair I look like I'm sixteen.

Slowly but surely it's coming back.
I'm blonde but my facial hair comes in red.

I miss my beard. I always go back to growing it and reach that awful in-between stage and get pissed off when doing something mundane like eating soup and shave it off.

I have the capacity to grow a beard, but lack the willpower to let it grow to full on survivalist. Also I look ridiculous clean shaven.

 

If this directed at me, you're too sweet. If it's not, then I agree in general and everyone around here is a beaut.

 

It is, but I disagree: I'm just sweet enough.

 

I'm currently back in the beard game. Growing it out for tour this summer.
