are we still lucky to be here? Prestigious

That narrative would make a lot of sense for why the bassist was released without being charged, but that statement seems...oddly informal and off-the-record verbiage filled for a police statement about an accident. Plus why the hell is Dying Scene getting what seems like an exclusive statement and not local Vancouver press about this? I haven't seen any other outlets post this update yet either...

This is really just starting to boil down into confusing, crappy situation all around.

Just a reminder in the states if you’ve never had people around you go through it, it’s standard practice even for just an OVI charge to be released either at the scene, holding cell, or hospital depending on the situation and how the individual is detained. Even if they plan to file charges they wait for other evidence to be gathered before they formally charge someone. There is not a super restrictive statue of limitations, so they usually take their time. It’s not uncommon to go a month before seeing charges.

Sounds like no charges in this case, but just want to lay that out so people understand the process a little more: incident, detained/questioned, released, then charged.

    wanna go for a ryyyde

honestly if it really is how its now sounding i dont think he deserves to be charged let alone abused by strangers on the internet. i drive trailers all the time and when i first heard how he didnt notice anything i didnt doubt it. the horsepower from the engine and hitch connection basically makes that thing a fucking tank stuck to the ground. unless something wrong happens w the hitch connection or the wheels its very hard to notice anything wrong w/o seeing it.

im used to dealing w careless motorists/pedestrians but never would i anticipate a pedestrian trying to walk over my hitch while i was stopped at a light. i have never heard of that before this story. if i caught someone doing that i would be absolutely livid as it should go w/o saying how dangerous that is. unfortunately it sounds like the girl made an innocent but very careless split second decision and paid horribly for it. i feel terrible for her and assuming robbie was operating his vehicle legally/responsibly i feel terrible for him too.
