Some substitutions are necessary like say if someone is lactose intolerant, but yeah people can be impossible about it
I'm cool with specification until it becomes a situation like @AelNire described where it's one person ordering for everyone else and then yeah, then it gets goddamn ridiculous. I used to have to do everyone's Subway orders at my old office and even ordering food for Rachel when I pick stuff up annoys me to death. She specifies like 5 changes per order no matter where I go, it's as if no matter what the order has to become a pain or it's not worth it.
If you have to tell someone step by step how to make your order you're doing too much. When I worked at Quiznos (ten years ago, whoa) people would make us do shit like hollow out the bread and pile on every vegetable that didn't cost extra and it was a pain
My old roommate would tell people she was allergic to the stuff she didn't want so they def would leave it off and she ordered every chicken sandwich or whatever cut in half. I know they probably spit in her food. We always went inside bc I didn't want to order with her and get a spit burger.
Okay I thought of another thing that's off-putting. When someone calls fake news or fake support "satire/parody" when there's no real humor or punch to it. At that point it's just wrong news, it's not humorous whatsoever and calling it satire is an insult to actual satire. That probably sounds pretentious of me, but it gets under my skin so much when I see (for example, that Brock for 2026 Olympics Facebook page) something that is just "trolling" to get people mad called "satire" when there's no real humor behind it. (Not to mention, it's just kinda gross making any kind of "joke" where a victim of real life tragedy is the victim of the joke too)
Just let me catch up on these 7 pages real quick and then I'll see what I can think of. I've seen it all
After reading the first page, my contribution is: I hate it when people call me pal. I've never said that to anyone in my life and meant it. What a weird thing to think you can call me, drug dealer #3
this is a worldwide thing. people think they need to speed, as if being in an accident is better than being slightly late to their destination
Oregon drivers are known for driving slow and passively I guess and whenever I have family from California visit I get so embarrassed by their speeding and honking at everyone. Everyone I know does the speed limit or 5 over on the highway and I see ppl from other places bragging about going like 90 or 100 and I'm like OMG
I go five over almost always because I know I'm not likely to get pulled over for that and I can't deal with speeding tickets. It's always stressful because I'll be in the far left lane to pass all the slow moving traffic in the center, but then someone will get behind me and ride my tail because they want to go faster
going back at people ordering things how they come and such. Customers at my work are overly picky and I think I posted about it in a thread. We make people's food as they go down the line but when it gets to "I don't like stems on my peppers can you take that one off" and try to reach over the glass to point at it- shit like that. No how about you stfu and just take it off once you get your food, you're already good a really good deal on your meal. It annoys the living shit out of my coworkers and I
How about people who go from 5 over to 5 under when someone is pulled over ahead. The cop wouldn't stop you for 5 over in the first place and you think he's going to bail on the person he's already with? Makes zero sense.
Lol one time my mom didn't get over into the passing lane when she passed a cop on the road and he left who he was with to pull her over
I am a speed demon. I always go 14 over. I've gotten one speeding ticket for 52 in a 35. That ticket was $250. I was more worried about getting points on my license but I didn't.
Yeah I think the law here is that if there is an emergency vehicle on the shoulder you have to either slow down to 20 below speed limit or get over into the next lane. I avoid driving in the right-hand lane altogether though
Whaaat lol. I'll fold and say I understand slowing down on a two lane road when you can't get over, but when you're in the fast lane on a 5 lane highway, I will judge you.
I'm a pretty conservative driver for the most part. I'm cool with going 5 under in the slow lane on long drives - I get poor MPG and my car shakes around 80mph (alignment). But every once in a while I'll go fast and make poor decisions.
People that overshare/lie about their sex lives, forget their lies and fuck up their own story, then desperately try to save those lies. I guess it bothers me insofar as they think I give a damn. Ha.
There was a girl I hung out with a few times and when other people were around, the conversation always ended up about her and her boyfriend. It was awkward.
