What are some recs if I like this band? I’ve been listening to a lot of of Montreal lately and I can’t find anyone else quite like them.

that's a tough one, maybe Animal Collective, The Flaming Lips, some MGMT... that's all I got

The above recs are all great, I’d say Feels or Strawberry Jam are good starting points for Animal Collective, Soft Bulletin for Flaming Lips.

For the earlier Of Montreal, Elephant 6 is prolly a good place to start, especially The Olivia Tremor Control:

The Elephant 6 Recording Company - Wikipedia

The Lilys are also pretty killer 90’s psychey pop stuff:

Some stuff that doesn’t exactly sound like Of Montreal but may be up your alley:

    Prince generally, but especially:

Around the World in a Day - Wikipedia

ELO - Out Of The Blue:

(Also check out Jeff Lynne’s earlier band The Move, kinda like a psychedelicy Who)

    Other 60’s stuff:

The Kinks - Village Green Preservation Society
13th Floor Elevators - first album
The Zombies - Oddysey & Oracle
    Love - Forever Changes

Start with that Prince album tho it’s unreal

As far as some of the more 80's Of Montreal vibes go, you might dig Sparks. Angst In My Pants is for sure the record to go with. One of my all time faves and some of the best/funniest lyrics in music.

at this point, I just assume that new stuff is constantly on the way. How many Patreon exclusives did he release in 2020?

In terms of brand-new shit, Kevin gave us an EP last year too in addition to UR FUN. Been at work on a new platter for a while and it's a double album!

I just listened to the new album and it's... not exactly my favorite thing from them, haha. There's plenty of moments of greatness, but overall you definitely feel the 20-song length and there's a fair amount I don't like on first listen
