This game really hit its stride for me finally, I won’t lie it took a while. But now I’m just about at everyone’s chapter 3’s, and I got everyone a second job, and it’s like overwhelming how much side stuff, skills, equipment, etc. I still wanna get
Just finished Hikari's second chapter. Really enjoyed that one, and now I'm on my way to do Ochetti's second chapter.
Travel banter getting weird - throne was sneaking up on ochette and got caught and had to admit she wanted to touch her tail
Honestly, my only complaint with the game is how the “travel banter” and crossed paths are the only times characters interact with each other.
The crossed paths are really solid tho, that wasn't even a thing in the first one and of course (endgame spoilers) all 8 of them come together at the end for a final quest
Maybe it's because Pokemon is the only other game like this I've played and I'm a total sucker for having animal companions but Ochette is my favorite to play as at this point. I still have five second chapters to get through. I don't have a favorite storyline yet but there aren't any I'm not excited to see unfold.
Ochette rules. I chose the owl for my playthrough. Her beast summoning skill is absolutely necessary for some bosses too
right now im playing bravely default 2 and xenoblade chronicles as my two big switch undertakings but i have been spending a lot of time this year replaying games that ive played in the last few years so i think octopath 2 round 2 is gonna happen sooner rather than later. maybe this fall, i can see this being a very cozy autumn game.
I completed Throne, Temenos, and Casti stories. Temenos’ final boss was tough because of the constant blindness, but using Casti to cure the whole party of that came in handy. I feel like these endings are still leaving questions, so helpfully the “secret ending” I heard about wraps everything up.
