apparently osvald has 2 interrupted chapters before I can go back to my main party and his backstory is insane

 

It’s completely arbitrary, I found his backstory no longer than say the Cestti’s.

 

I was surprised his took up two chapters because it didn’t really feel like it. But he was also my main so I started with him. I absolutely love his tho and I think it sends a clear message from the writing team that they aren’t fucking around

 

Also all I’ve got left is the dancer and merchant, I wasn’t expecting much from Hikari but man him and Throne have my fav stories after Osvlad so far

 

I guess if you start with Osvald, the banality of the tasks don't really bother you that much, for me he was my 4th and I was a little taken aback by how mundane the things I had to do to accomplish a relatively difficult task.

what I'm trying to say is, on the first chapters its good to keep in mind that what could be your 8th character might very well be someone's tutorial. very difficult line to straddle!

 

yeah I just started Hikari and good god that battlefield in the beginning... nerd chills.

 

started with ochette, then got throne and temenos shortly after, osvald is my fourth party member and as of now, yeah this writing is a lot better than OT1

 

It was a little weird only being able to accomplish one of the three tasks every day but in the grand scheme it isn’t THAT long

also good point the entire game concept is ambitious as hell from a writing standpoint, dragon age origins type beat on 11

 

I loved the flashbacks, just blood curdling.

 

Agnes’s small town ambitions are adorable

 

also it’s funny coming off the first 5-8 hours of bravely default 2 and coming into this because it’s clear how many ideas they carried over from that series but improved upon in every single way. the city design in bravely default 2 crawled so octopath traveler 2’s cityscapes could run

 

still need to finish BD2 and triangular tactics

 

my top priority after this is Live A Live because I can’t get enough of these graphics but I might get triangle strategy after that. I hope the final fantasy tactics remaster retains the pixel style

 

I only played the triangle strategy demo but the battle system is really fun. Maybe even more fun than FFT but I havent played that game in a few years

 

oh hell yeah these crossed path missions are exactly what this game needed

 

Triangle Strategy fkin ruled.

Haven't gotten to play much with the move but I did manage to find a few job guilds

 

Going to grab the last character tonight and then start exploring a bit before doing Chapter 2s.

 

Hikari’s chapter 2 boss is stomping me lol time to grind and make sure I’m 2 levels over the recommended level for any quest

 

just got agnea in my party, nice to know her chapter 1 isn’t so dark haha

 

I keep playing this saying I’m just going to go for 20 minutes and then I find a new town and spend 3 hours trying to steal every item and get all the information…

 

This fucking game keeps getting better

 

I’m on my third chapter 2 so far. It’s so good.

 

Should I get this on Switch or PS5? I do like trophy collecting...

 

Switch is blurry but portable.

ps5 is sharp and has zero load times.

 

Damn the music for Agnea's town and surrounding areas is beautiful
