anyone confirm if i buy the vinyl from their merch store i'll get a download for the full album today or would i be better off doing bandcamp? edit nvm their merch store link goes to bandcamp lol
Sorry if it’s been mentioned but I’m really tempted to pick up the 36x36 banner they have on Bandcamp. And only 20 bucks??? Christ I remember way back in middle school id try and get banners and they were like 50-75 at the very least. So unless shipping is crazy ridiculous that’s a real good deal for some snazzy artwork. edit: hmm, the 36x36 one only shows up in an email link I got. App only shows 36x60 and no price yet...
I’m halfway through my first listen and was not expecting this direction at all. With that said, it’s right in line with how they’ve always sounded and I think it’s really cool that this album has much more of a focus on atmosphere and sparsity. It’s haunting and beautiful all at once.
Yeah this is really cool. I had no idea the vinyl was going to go this quickly. Can't help but think it wouldn't be nearly this special if they were still on a label heh
That's absolutely fucking huge. They moved 1000 records in little over a day. For a newly independent band that's a big deal.
So huge. I can only imagine how good it must feel to them especially given how long they had to sit on it.
kind of niche but I've been wanting some blue to break up The Chariot, Moving Mountains, and The Wonder Years' red/black/white color scheme on our wall banner area. $20 is crazy, glad they offered so many pre-order options and are able to keep those profits directly. Over-saturating a merchandise pool can hurt bands financially, seems they hit the perfect balance here.
The piano on Halogen Eye is straight out of Vheissu and I absolutely love the harp on What We’ve Lost. It’s cool going through their old Instagram videos of recording and knowing which song each video is.
I probably shouldn’t buy this on vinyl yet considering I’ve only listened to it once and it’s in the bottom half of my preferences in their discography, but that pressing is beautiful and I might just pull the trigger for the hell of it
