I'm still interested in seeing the Maul/Crimson Dawn story that was teased in solo, but yea his story with Obi-Wan wraps up so perfectly in Rebels. No need to touch that.
This is getting me interested in the franchise in a way I haven't been in a long while. The sneak peaks of non-Tatooine settings are what I've been craving the most, and something about the tone makes me wonder if the series will have a spy influence.
I'm gonna warn you that the more you get your hopes up that a Star Wars production won't be Star Wars, the more you're going to be disappointed when it turns out to just be more Star Wars.
So this is why he looks so odd to me. The animated version was modeled after the species on the left, then this new version was modeled after the animated version. A bit was lost in translation.
Just looked up who that was (I know I know, I need to watch Clone Wars)…and see he’s voiced by Jason Isaacs in the show. Shoulda just got him to play it!
I wonder if it's an issue with prosthetics and filming action? IIRC, in the gallery episodes for S2 of the Mandalorian, they said they made Ahsoka's lekku shorter than it was in Rebels because they would get in the way when filming fight choregraphy. An extended forehead would seem like less of an issue, but it could be a reason.
That, and eyes, and teeth. None of those seem like they'd impair things too much. Possibly the teeth being that extreme, but why not just tone them down like the lekku, rather than just ditching them?
Oh sure the course correction over the sequel trilogy made me lower my expectations... but for some reason I can't stop dreaming about another Star Wars venture that shakes up the formula for a moment or two.
So knowing that this is Disney and they can’t help themselves, what do we think this ties into that isn’t completely obvious. Solo?
In that trailer, Obi-Wan is talking to somebody about losing the fight and telling them to stay hidden. Could be Ahsoka? I guess that would be obvious though hahha He could just be making a recording too I suppose.
Yea, I wouldn’t be surprised if Ahsoka shows up and flashbacks to Clone Wars would be cool and could rope in a ton of options form famous clones to of course any number of Jedi.
