I just can’t get over how much I enjoyed this scene (I really liked how they used the light reflections from the sabers in this series). Those first four were patchy and I wasn’t sure how it would land, but yeah these last two were worth it. Even that pause when Obi Wan finally gets to meet Luke up close, before saying the much awaited “Hello there” line, because he’s clearly seeing his old friend Anakin in this little boy was a small part of the performance I loved from Ewan in this.
a very unnecessary show but still ended up being enjoyable if not for Ewan it would probably be a pretty bottom tier show but he was excellent in this i don't really agree with the criticisms of this being an Obi Wan and Leia show, it wasn't really about her at all. She was just the tool to get his story moving and get him to deal with his grief and go back to himself again that said, the little girl was great in this as Leia and was fun to watch. she also looked so tiny as a 10yr old to me for some reason. looked like she was barely bigger than my daughter that just turned 7
I only recognized the little girl who played Leia because of my kids. There’s this fairly awful Robert Rodriguez film on Netflix, We Can Be Heroes, which is a sort of sequel to Sharkboy and Lavagirl, in which said little girl plays Sharkboy and Lavagirl’s daughter Guppy who has a combination of her parents’ powers.
Pretty sure she was 8 when filming. I thought the same thing because she was much smaller than my 9yr old sister. Which is odd because the actor that played Luke looked like he was probably over 10 when filming.
I want a show about Luke and Biggs blowing up womp rats in a T-16, or else how will I understand that reference in ANH?
read the Master and Apprentice book. It's a Qui Gon and Obi Wan story that takes place a few years before TPM with a few flashback scenes to his youth as well
My prediction for the Obi Wan sequel series: "Obi Wan and Qui-Gon": Takes place in two timelines. One timeline directly after the events of Obi Wan where Qui-Gon's force ghost teaches Kenobi the secret of transcending his body through the force possibly going to Moraband like Yoda did in Clone Wars. The other timeline taking place pre-episode 1 featuring young Kenobi and Jinn digitally de-aged showing how Qui-Gon originally learned the secret of becoming a force ghost. I think the next series will go heavily into that force ghost lore that was previously explored in that last arc of season 6 of Clone Wars.
