Palpy forced him to live there so he constantly has to be reminded of his failures, fears, anger, and hate to further fuel his connection to the dark side. source: unreliable google search
I did not expect them to have a confrontation this soon. The fight (if it can really be called that) was pretty solid. Obi-wan was so helpless. I'm am a little surprised at just how violent they've gone with Vader, which sounds weird since it's Vader haha. But damn, him burning Obi-Wan was rough. It does seem a little weird that Vader doesn't just stop the droid with the force.
I had that same thought; like, wouldn't the foremen be on the lookout for any of the workers stealing meat to take home?
This reminded me of the Family Guy Star Wars special where Chris (Luke) is like "Hm. Obi-Wan Kenobi? I wonder if she means old Obi-Wan Kenobi..."
You know for a god damn fact that they mention Obi Wan having a younger sibling for a reason. They cannot resist.
I'd like to think this was just a nice character moment and not a spinoff setup because I really liked this scene, but who knows. Obi-Wan reflecting on the life he missed out on was pretty heartbreaking. The little moments like that are what's keeping this show interesting.
absolutely LOVE Kenobi's description of the Force in this episode. "Have you ever been in the dark and suddenly had the light turned on?"
