nothing to do with the actual quality of the show but this whole thing D+ is doing with 6 episode series with sub 40 min episodes is getting old fast
respect to the goat, but we don't need Williams all over every SW project. absolutely loved seeing Vader in this one, and enjoyed the Obi/Vader fight. i'm not exactly bothered by why he let Obi go? I am assuming they'll cross paths again in the next 3 episodes.
I definitely don't want them to overdo it with the Williams stuff, but a little Imperial March wouldn't have hurt today haha.
Damn, Obi-wan really took it bad in this episode. No force used or even attempted and he pretty much let Vader walk all over him in their duel. It was brutal to watch overall. I’m very interested to see the turning point in him becoming more like the Obi-wan that we see in A New Hope. We all know what it will be giving where it’s going but I’m still stoked.
Also, I didn’t bother to watch the credits. But was the driver alien voiced by Seth Rogen? Am I crazy?
Also thought it was funny how he struggled to shut down the checkpoint laser gate when they could've easily just walked around it. I did like the luminescent effect, or whatever you'd call it, of the lightsabers during the fight. Looked pretty cool in that setting.
When he said “i am what you made me”, the weird pause between “i” and “am” made me think they just edited together vader dialogue from the trilogy and im very glad to see Jones credited.
Yeah I don't know for sure but isn't there something in the comics or books about Vader being afraid of fire now?
Tbf, most of the Kenobi and Vader confrontations will probably end awkwardly in this show. They still have 9 years until their final confrontation so the writers are going to have to make a “get away” for each one leading up to it.
I’m loving this so far. The Jedi/Sith stuff is what really speaks to me in Star Wars and seeing Obi-Wan struggle with what it means to be a Jedi and trying to reconnect with his past after his failures is exactly what I find so interesting about this world.
