Maybe there's some limitations to filming a chase scene in the volume. It just seems like between this one and the scooter scene, the ability to film that type of fast, forward moving fluid action is limited.
I feel like this is the most boring obvious route for this show to take. Hope it gets better but idk these Disney+ shows just aren’t working for me
Yeah so far all these Star Wars shows feel very safe and add nothing interesting to the canon. Still holding out hope that The Acolyte is the one that does something cool and out of left field with this lore.
I firmly believe the response to The Last Jedi and everything that's been said about Star Wars since has solidified that we will never see anything out of left field ever again. Doesn't mean it can't be fun and enjoyable, but I think if you're coming to this stuff looking for something fresh and different, you're barking up the wrong tree.
nah. I’m sure a Bacta tank will get him back to ship shape. No way they built him up in this series to be gone in 2 episodes. Also, Favreau and Filoni wouldn’t do that to Rebels.
Don't think Favreau and Filoni have anything to do with this series, but yeah, there's no way they would abandon Rebels so unceremoniously like that. He'll definitely be back.
Yea, I am not really expecting anything out of left field from these shows. I don't know if throwing in Leia was the most obvious route it could have gone down though. I kind of thought it would be the Inquisitors show up, get close to discovering Luke so Obi-wan travels off world to lure them away. Then discovers Anakin is still alive and tries to turn him. It has sort of reversed part of that in the Inquisitors luring him to a trap. Though, admittedly it's not that different.
My current theory - Reva is one of the kids from the opening and knows who Vader is because she saw him at them temple that day. The Grand Inquisitor says she approached them rather than being recruited like the others, so I'm guessing she is trying to find Obi-Wan to try and get him to finish off Vader as revenge.
The most likely plot is that she just wants to try and gain favor with Vader by bringing him his former master.
indont love the decision to bring you know who back but i love pretty much everything else about this
Only watched episode one so far but pretty meh. those dudes chasing leia were actively trying to not run and catch her
Was baffled to learn that Obi-wan has never once in ten years heard about how one of the highest ranking Imperials is a very much alive Darth Vader.
The first two episodes were actually good. Cool shit, obviously building up the world. Very Rebels like. Looking forward to more.
I wonder what the day to day life of being a force ghost is like. Do you just always appear the same way to everyone? Do you get bored having all this knowledge of the force and not being able to use it? Get tired of people just reaching out to you and that’s the only reason you exist?
Reminds me of the Revenge of the Sith novelization. If I recall correctly, there is a scene on Tatooine set shortly after the events that we see in the movie where Obi-Wan is in a bar or something and learns that Vader is alive on the news of some sort.
