If this is true then it’s just another example of how America’s infrastructure for concerts is so inferior to the UK.

Still gonna get to MetLife early and hope for the best

What time are you aiming to get to Metlife? I figure I'll get out there by 4:30 or so and should be fine. I don't know if many people know about this separation of GA except for the hardcore/super online people of which....I don't know if that's really the demo going to these shows.

Yeah my logic is that if I was able to get in the front pit in the UK by showing up at 3:30, then the getting it for the US should be easier. I don’t think the fans here are as hardcore or even aware of the floor setup. I’m thinking an hour or even 45 minutes before gates open should be early enough.

I would like to keep my eyes peeled for Chicago reports on the floor situation too.

That is absolutely infuriating because it was never a ticket option on the main page nor was it a section blocked off. It says "one general admission standing ticket" not necessarily any sort of front premium ticket with the premiums essentially being the add-ons of merchandise and a "commemorative" wristband.

Using the UK as a proxy, if you got there at 3:30 were you the LAST person getting into the circle or were people still trickling in after? Mainly ask because the Metlife parking lot is.......not the most pleasant to stand around in for hours on end.

right, thats why we were so confused about it. even in the description it doesnt call it out - we kind of shot in the dark when we bought them and I only got privy to a potential better spot when I started seeing things on their reddit and talking to a neighbor who went to one of the dublin shows.

We definitely weren’t the last. I’m not the best at gauging crowds but I’d guess there were maybe a couple hundred people after us. They also were stamping hands prior to gates opening, I think as a way to determine if too many people were lined up.

Thanks and sorry for all the questions. I wish they just split the floor the way System Of A Down is doing so there wasn't a big headache about this but, to your point, I doubt many people know and there is not the same hysteria here so I don't imagine a huge gathering of people 35+ in line at 4pm.

I can't believe I saw this band at a 3500-capacity club in 2002 and they are doing two nights at Metlife this weekend.

    Was that Roseland?
I think it was in 2002 that my dad had tickets to see them at Beacon Theatre and invited me, but it was during those angsty teen years where I didn't want to be seen in public with my parents so I didn't go.

In 2005 I saw them at the minor league baseball stadium in Staten Island and the show severely undersold. Maybe 5k people in a 20k venue. Crazy that now its two nights instant sell outs at an 80k capacity stadium. Love to see them finally getting the love they deserve here.

Yup was Roseland! First time seeing them too and very heavy Heathen Chemistry setlist haha.

That 2005 Across The Narrows festival lineup looks amazing in retrospect. I think the challenge was they were in out of the way places and most of those acts had already played the city 3-4 times in those respective album cycles. I remember being up at college and pissed I couldn't go though.
