Tonight was easily the greatest concert of my life. Managed to get in the golden circle, about 15 rows back from the stage. Fucking wild show, wild crowd. The English sure know how to have fun.
Literally within 5 seconds of Fuckin In the Bushes coming on we got showered with a piss cup. Also a few beer cups, but the first one was no question piss lol
Very common, even in small club shows (100-200 cap). Sometimes the club will provide pre-filled piss cups too for people to throw. Wee love it!
https://www.stereogum.com/2317980/o...n-falls-to-his-death-at-wembley-concert/news/ Jesus, that's horrifying. RIP.
I can easily say that was the definitive concert of my life. Every single person I encountered from noon til now was friendly, enthusiastic, and just riding the good vibe train. Biblical.
Is this a common thing on the GA floor only, or also in the nosebleeds? Asking for a friend. AKA my wife who will literally walk out of the show on Saturday if that happens to her lol
I'm assuming (hoping) that the North America dates will also do that "golden circle' front section of the floor. FYI for anyone going, assuming it is the same as it was at Wembley....get there a couple hours before gates open and there will be a line that says "Front Standing." The first 4,000 that come through will get a wristband that allows you in and out of the front of the floor that is sectioned off. After that it was really easy to go in and out for drinks/food/bathroom and still secure a good spot.
Ah interesting, thanks for the heads up. That's kind of annoying but I guess it's one way to break up the crowd.
I have seen speculation (I think just speculation though) that there might be a different floor arrangement for the non UK/Ireland shows. I know dynamic pricing bs was turned off over here (but not in UK) so not sure if that's part of it. I don't care either way though; we've got GA for Chicago but I'm fine being towards the back if that's what happens. Not sure I can take the whole day off anyway so we may not be in line that early Speaking of, some of the resale prices for the US shows are wild, even by 2025 standards. Seeing GA tix for Chicago selling for 800-1000+ when I'm pretty sure those were like 200 fv
To clarify the “piss cup” thing, I have gone to thousands of gigs over here and have never ever seen venues handing them out. They hand out water. I’ve also only ever seen two people do that and chuck it (both at Reading festival) and they got immediately decked by other people. So unless Oasis crowds are filled entirely with GG Allin, I’m going to say it’s still pretty rare. I think Richard was taking the, erm, piss.
