i like what they went for on dig out your soul, them trying a more psych rock/krautrock thing is cool and on paper makes sense, it’s just that the non-noel written songs are largely whatever lol

and get off your high horse lady is noel’s worst song

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

DOYS is mostly dookie but Falling Down is one of my favourite Oasis songs

I’m not super into DOYS either, but I actually to applaud the effort on the album. It definitely felt like they were trying to do something different and it matched the vibe of the era.

It also gives early hints to what the High Flying Birds would be

Surprised at everyone's takes on DOYS, I think I would put that at #4 on my ranking. Bag It Up, The Turning and Shock of the Lightning are all bangers, and I kinda love how hypnotic Falling Down, High Horse Lady and To Be Where There's Life are.
Nature of Reality and Soldier On are bottom of the barrel Oasis tunes, though.

Giants has really grown on me in recent years. Mainly for the same reasons I love those DOYS experimental tunes. Roll It Over is top tier and doesnt get the love it deserves.

I really liked DOYS (I feel silly calling it that) when it came out, but “Falling Down” is really the only song from it that has stuck with me in a big way over time.

Also learned recently that Noel recorded the drums on Bag It Up, along with I think 4 other songs on DOYS.

He's certainly not a bad drummer, but once I learned that it made it so obvious that they had someone else come in to do The Turning and Shock of the Lightning.

Didn’t know those DOYS facts! As an album is amazing, I love the vibe it has, but I still preffer Don’t Believe The Truth. A Bell Will Ring is one of my favorite songs by them besides the obvious ones.
