I didn't have Pleymo recording their first album in 20 years on my 2026 bingo card, so unbelievably excited!! Curious to know how much nu-metal will actually feature after all this time and whether they'll continue to build on their later, more post-hardcore influenced sound. That reminds me I should do my French nu-metal retrospective one of these days, still many bands I never checked out but it'd be fun to dig into that entire scene again.
Also don't know if they're considered nu-metal but I'm diving into Cold's discography for the first time. Strangely, it reminds me more of Katatonia than anything in the genre at times. Must be the vocals and the dark, gloomy atmosphere.
I never heard of this guy before but this was fun and a good question lol source: https://www.revolvermag.com/culture/hear-comedian-ben-lapidus-metalcore-parody-song-petsmart/
Reunited NĂ¼-Metal Band Skrape Confirm Plans For New Music & Touring - Theprp.com More about the Skrape return. Wondering if any former members are returning besides Keeton.
Been going through From Ashes To New's discography and I never really paid much attention to them before but I'm surprised by how much they picked up Linkin Park's torch. Definitely not as adventurous but they've got the formula down. Pretty durn good.
