It is indeed a terrible cover. And I dunno, I'm not saying you're doing this, but I believe some people who trash the EP would both love it instead if it was Marky singing the songs and are also under the mistaken belief that Marky was a good singer. And I say this as someone who liked the first album! The second album, not as much. But I maintain that if Tim worked hard to improve his singing voice he'd be fine, or at least as fine as Marky was. Honestly, Planets is my favorite album from them and it sucks that they didn't hang on to Luke.
SULLY ERNA On Whether There Will Be A New GODSMACK Album: 'I Think There Will' Like a bad lunch. Would be a good wheeze if calling this their final album was a long con to get Larkin and Rombola to quit.
I'm listening to Home Grown Studio Sessions for the first time since its release and I think the worst thing about it is that I can actually hear skeletons of songs that would have been good if they actually worked on them with a producer with regular production values. Volz sounds relatively on point and it's just the sub-demo quality of the recordings that really makes it such a rough listen.
It's funny how the Five Bolt Main record was a "side/solo project" while there have been a long ass list of musicians who have come and gone through Flaw throughout history and they kind of became Volz's solo project like ten years ago.
Listening to that covers album Revival by Flaw today and it's actually not nearly as bad as I remembered. Still very unnecessary, but at least it's not bad productionwise like I stated earlier. It's clearly made on a lower budget than their other albums, but it's definitely no Home Grown. That said, I'll never understand bands who put out cover albums that adhere so strongly to the originals. There are some bits here and there that recall that Flaw is a hard rock/alt metal band, but mostly they stay true and that's boring. And From Zero's cover of "I Don't Care Anymore" is way better.

This isn’t the VG thread where we crucify people for double posting. Also, at least he embedded the actually tweet.
Anyway…music (if I’m allowed to post it per Penlab) This tour looks interesting but I’ll probably go to see Sevendust as it’s been a while.
