One step, I make an imprint. Two steps, that's commitment. Three steps, I'm not done yet. Draw my other leg up, and the pace is set.
Speaking of bands with shelved albums, anyone familiar with Bemus? Had a 6-song demo that was kicking around file sharing services in 2002/2003, then recorded a debut LP for Elektra that was never released. Half the band went on to form Manic, who recorded a debut LP for Suretone/Geffen that was never released. Very talented and extremely unlucky group.
Yes! I have some friends who really loved them. They had some songs beyond that EP as well, I think. These friends used to scene rips, I think they were the ones who did the Bemus stuff.
Last few weeks I went back to listen to more of my old stuff on mp3's and less on Spotify. I have tons and tons of old music and every time I start listening to some of that stuff I get super nostalgic. It's both a good and a bad feeling. I have been so caught up lately with life (my daughter was born this year) so it's nice sometimes to just block all the noise and sit and listen to that old stuff that's not really streaming anywhere. Today I listened to Something To Burn, Sighlo, Shenoah and Minus Driver.
6 Ex-Members of Metal Band Reuniting For 2 Shows Under New Name Seems like the latest trend now Edit: It's Mushroomhead
I don't dislike the new Mushroomhead but it's cool that they're doing this. Hate how bands like them and Ill Nino have become little empires run by a single member.
TERA WRAY STATIC's Former Roommate Issues Statement In Support Of MATT ZANE's Unauthorized WAYNE STATIC Documentary Been following this story and at first I was against Zane because it sounded like he was putting something together without the permission of their families that would be exploitative, but the more I read, the more I'm now leaning the other way. It seems clear Static and Wray really wanted Zane to do this and took measures to bring it to fruition because he was their friend. Now it seems weird that the families wouldn't want their wishes to be honored and give their blessing to the project.
