Yeah, I've seen Flaw a few times, but I get the impression that Chris isn't easy to get along with. The band has changed members constantly over the years and the last time I went to see them, Chris was obviously drunk and there was a problem with his mic which made him livid. He refused to perform even though the mic was fixed almost immediately, so the band performed while the crowd sang (for the ENTIRE set) - This was probably 5 years ago or more, so I hope things have changed, or this was just a bad night, but who knows...
I don't think they've released an album in a few years, but they still tour. I have no idea who is in the band anymore other than Chris though.
His voice is great. He can both sing and scream very well. If you haven't heard it, you should check out the Five Bolt Main record.
I'll see you, and raise you one Resident Evil soundtrack Resident Evil - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack
Resident Evil: Apocalypse - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Oh man, I never looked into the other soundtracks... Slipknot, Killswitch, Deftones, APC, Devildriver, 36 Crazyfists, Cold AND Thrice's Under A Killing Moon. Stick a fork in me.
That Ill Nino track is so awesome, I remember being happy for them that they got the lead single on that soundtrack. All three TrustCompany albums are great IMO. Loved the times I got to see them, sad they didn't stick around longer.
I remember back in like 2002, I went to Warehouse Music to see an instore performance/autograph signing from Trust Company, then immediately afterwards booked it to a Seether show where they played to about 15 people (this was right when Disclaimer came out) - After the Seether show, I was trying to get my CD signed by the band and I had all their autographs except for the drummers, who was nowhere to be found. As we were leaving the club, I see the drummer in the alleyway with the homeless dude trying to light the tiniest roach I've ever seen. I felt so bad for them. I wish I had a joint with me to give them.
From a new interview with Aaron: "I think that if we were to go into the studio and do anything, it would be pretty brutal. It would be continuing back to how heavy we were to begin with," said Lewis. "When 'It's Been Awhile' and 'Outside' and 'So Far Away' and songs like that, that were radio songs, [it] confused everything, cause if you came and saw us at a show, the show was a hell of a lot heavier than most of the songs that you would hear on the radio. I would have to say that it would be going back in the direction of just heavy… I think I've got some pent-up stuff that would probably flow out quite nicely over some of Mike's heavy riffs." That makes me super happy. I hope they do end up recording! Btw, I was at one of those shows where they opened up with Raw and then went into Spleen. Of course they played So Far Away and Outside later on in the set, but a ton of people left before then lol.
Just gave Mechanical Spin Phenomena by Mnemic a listen for the first time in probably 10 years. Still good, this thread has got me to resurrect a lot of old favorites hah. Blood Stained, Ghost, and Liquid are awesome tracks. Underrated album from this era imo.
What does everyone think about Motionless in White? I actually really dig them and Chris a super nice guy. Totally the opposite of what he sounds like on the albums.
My summer camp counselor in 2002 was a huge nu-Metal bro, and one morning he came in and gave everyone in our cabin Seether sampler promos lol
Northlane is incorporating some great nu-metal vibes in their two newest singles... it works really well imo!
I’m actually very interested in hearing new Limp Bizkit. Will we ever hear something? I don’t know, but I would love to hear what they’ve been recording over the last 5+ years.
i just listened to gold cobra today for the first time in a while and...it’s not very good. i hope they put out something soon that’s better than their last couple full lengths.
