Long story short, they're not necessarily announcing an album but they do think an album is easier to promote, so they'll focus on writing songs and figure out what to do after.

Which is how they seem to be taking everything: find out what people want from them and then deliver.

Awesome news but usually in the past.. Evanescence would usually take a long hiatus after an album touring cycle like they would take a good few years off but it looks like they r gonna keep this momentum going!!

Never heard of this guy. Not sure how I feel about it based on this video.

 

People on the PRP comments guessed it was him when they put out the videos of him singing.

Which isn't to say he's anybody known, I don't know how they figured out it was him.

Articles say he's done work with the bands Jynx and Newcomer, neither of which I've ever heard before.

 

God help me, but I did something just now. I've been deeply curious about this whole AI song travesty and so I listened to some, and then this morning I investigated Suno, putting in a couple prompts to see if it could generate a song that sounded like Gravity Kills (I miss them so).

All the results came out sounding like Five Finger Death Punch, which what that says about that band is up in the air, but anyway, what scared me about it all was that for all the articles talking about how soulless it sounds and etc., I'm pretty sure there's a wide majority of people that would not be able to tell that this is AI.

The lyrics are very word salad, and sometimes the instrumental changes can be jarring, but none of this strikes me as particularly unlike what a normal band would do, and that's frightening. And depressing. I'm sorry I did this.
