Ra is a really good and consistent band all around, IMO. And Sahaj does good work in songwriting and production.
It is pretty insane. I remember playing it in a friend's car just to get their reaction. Feel bad for the other people on the road that they were subjected to that. My favorite albums of theirs are Blackout, Back 2 Base X, and New World Orphans though.
Their only truly solid album front to back is their debut. This song is fire and the first song I heard by them: The Limp Bizkit influence is palpable
That song wasn't the first I heard, but I did immediately latch onto it once I heard it. Turns out it is, indeed, fire.
Not really. They only had one album and I don't remember it getting pushed very hard beyond "Turn Me On, Mr. Deadman".
Yeah one of those many bands from that era where I loved a song, bought the cd, and don't recall anything else about the album lol
Every time I hear "Across The Nation" I get the feeling that shit is about to go down. My favorite WWE theme of all time.
this is one of two songs I know by them. I feel like every opener on that tour had more popularity but I guess not
What tour, this new one? I mean, you're not wrong, but I read TUU and Soil planned this tour together and Ra and Flaw hopped onboard, so it's not so much a matter of the bill reflecting popularity as it is reflecting who constructed the tour. In terms of actual popularity? Kind of hard to gauge as TUU never had a second major label album. The other bands all did, albeit that was the point they all got dropped by their respective labels. So maybe it's relatively equal?
I thought Ra put out material pretty consistently but I just double checked and didn't realize eight years had passed between Critical Mass and Intercorrupted. The latter came out in 2021 though.
Highly doubtful. It's not on their Spotify, that item doesn't have their band logo, and that language appears to be Russian, which I can't imagine Ra ever touching for any reason. Unfortunately, this happens from time to time with lesser known artists.
I've never listened to any of the bands currently discussed. Makes me feel like I got tons of nu metal blind spots.
