Ah! sure enough, Stabbing Westward are there! I didn't see them the first time I looked. Yeah, same for me with Darkest Days. Funny story. I got that record as one of my free records, actually wanted Wither Blister Burn and Peel, but this one pleasantly surprised me. Definitely a go to album.
this is WILD THE LUCID & INSANE CLOWN POSSE's VIOLENT J Reimagining FAITH NO MORE's "Epic" Is Something featuring former Megadeth bassist David Ellefson and Fear Factory drummer Mike Heller
The song is... fine, but the whole idea of Dave Ellefson, Mike Heller and Violent J getting together to cover Faith No More peaked my interest. edit: I didn't realize this was a project with more than just that cover. Listened to clips of a few other songs and this is NOT for me. edit edit: The vocalist is the dude from 90s band Sponge?? 3x edit: This cover art is incredible lmao
Honestly, not feeling it. It's missing something. No knock if he's doing what he wants, but it's weird to me that Santos turned away from the versatility and musicality of Spineshank's sound to do what is basically generic metalcore.
I really like the vocalist in this group. Fieldy looks like he is healthy. Members of P.O.D. as well.
I still go back to it every now and then. It's definitely better than Catharsis, Locust and Bloodstone to me. I haven't listened to the latest album enough to form an opinion on it.
Not sure how I feel about the album name, but otherwise super stoked. This band is consistently solid.
This isn't a nu-metal band but I don't think you guys have a post-grunge thread and I don't know what else to do with this information but this is happening and I'm really fucking stoked right now and I need to share it with someone. Edit: Okay, this might not be working, but anyway, The Exies are releasing a new single on Friday and did I mention I'm stoked?
I love The Exies. Still revisit Inertia and Head for the Door a couple times a year. So excited for new music. Didn't think it would ever happen.
Oh hey, that link seems to be working now that the song's out. Here it is in Spotify flavor: I'm feeling it. This is like candy for me. A really great song to lead off with after such a long hiatus. I hope this is just the start of things to come.
