Eh, putting aside the way he's saying some things, I understand his sentiment and where some of that passive-aggressiveness may be coming from. I mean, I don't blame him for feeling bitter.

Clearly he wants to be doing System, and Serj doesn't, which is fine, don't get me wrong. Serj doesn't have to do System if that's not what he wants to do in life. But it sounds like he feels they wasted time holding out for the hope that Serj would divide his time more equally, which is also a valid feeling to have.

Honestly, I see a lot of parallels between System and Blink with Tom.

 

Don't hold your breath John. Meanwhile, throwing all your band members under the bus? Lol. Form a new band, milk the "ex/former member of" and stop sounding like a spoiled child.

I am honestly surprised he didn't ask to drum for the Pantera money machine.

 

To be fair, he doesn't subtract himself from the equation of why the band can't get their shit together, but I agree trashing their current side projects doesn't sound very classy or professional.

On the other hand, his point that they're more together than the sum of their parts is not an incorrect position to hold.

I worry that his questionable beliefs in other areas is making it too easy to dismiss him when he's not holding an unreasonable point of view.

 

It's not only that but it's his tone. He sounds like an egotistical rockstar.

He’s is obviously swaying back and forth while he’s singing, so their hands just got in the way and he quickly drops the audience members hand when apparent contact is made. Doesn’t look intentional at all.

 

It's not like Alien Ant Farm even has money.

I still enjoy their music even if the lead singer (and only real remaining member) swallowed the red pill hard. It doesn't really come out in the music, thankfully.

I've seen Nonpoint at least a dozen times but it's been 5 or more years probably. Gonna hit this up. Anyone heard of these openers?

 

Sumo Cyco are really good. Their front woman is cool.

She is big into cosplay and creates all her outfits. I think they have a pretty big social media presence.

 

Blacktop Mojo is pretty alright. More blues-rock/post-grunge than nu-metal.

 

We should all strive to love ourselves as much as nu-Metal bands love touring the south and Midwest

Some of the songs on that album still totally rock and some are like..actively bad.

 

Powerman is fun music. I will not hear any other opinions at this time.

 

I had heard that Spider is a massive asshole.

Could have changed but I do know early on he had major rockstar syndrome.

 

Wouldn't surprise me. I feel like a lot of musicians from that scene around that time had the same kind of attitude.

Interviews I've seen with him in recent history, he seems fine, but that's not a great way to judge someone's everyday personality.

 

I’m sure he felt like he was big shit with him being related to Rob Zombie.
