We all want to attract THE MOST people to our website, store, project, etc but it's amazing how much more valuable one good customer/consumer is compared to 100 one-and-done's.

Customer retention. So important. So overlooked.

I also agree that "starting over" and setting strict guidelines on behavior was paramount. AP had become a cesspool of garbage posts at times. I have seen differing opinions on here worked out maturely. The constant negativity is practically gone, at least from what I've seen.

I'm on another forum, one of the bigger websites on the Internet. The rules are strict and enforced, and the community is tight knit. People will check themselves out of threads because it's not worth getting banned from a great place over a stupid argument. They've (the admins and mods) been accused of being overly sensitive or aggressive but it's kept the website clean and useable for the vast majority. Worth it. I've been there 12+ years now and never have had a problem. Be respectful and you get to stay. Simple concept, really.

    Great job here.
