Wolf is a masterpiece.

 

SGL remains my favorite song off of the record

 

i mean it is a perfect pop song that's one that'd be hard to beat

 

When I go to listen to them I always have to toss on all of Threads, it's more the sum of it's whole than any one song off the album. I love Wolf a lot though

 

Ahh yeah, I guess you're right. I'm not too salty about it, I'm just happy we're getting an album at all, but I guess I thought that with the massive gap in time between the release of the singles and the announcement of the album something would have changed.

 

Favorite song is probably Prehistoric, but I agree that the record is incredibly cohesive.

SGL definitely is in the running for their best song.

 

Can't wait to drop money on a preorder

 

I’m not knowledgeable on the business side of things in terms of releases but I’m pretty sure something was holding it back from getting announced

 

i mean their label situation is still very weird, being that they're still technically on a dead label

 

I definitely thought it was label issues but with it coming out on Trans still maybe not

 

except trans isn't really an active label so, idk

Couldn't it be that Trans is no longer an imprint of Atlantic? So either its indie or an imprint of another major?

 

it's definitely an atlantic imprint, it's more just like, atlantic is doing everything while trans is barely i thing i imagine

 

this is all just guessing though

 

It's just such a strange situation. I hope it doesn't end up hindering the promotion for this album, because if SGL and Yours are indications, this album needs to blow up

 

i actually think promotion is doing very well for this, they've gotten on some massive tours (the x ambassadors shows all sold out very quickly in big venues) and are playing some festivals, it's not like they aren't being pushed on some good opportunities

 

Yeah, to be honest, in terms of this record's cycle, it will probably be timed well. They're playing SXSW, and I think maybe The Great Escape, so doing the "grind" of lots & lots of shows.

 

For sure, it's been better than I expected which is good to see. I just hope the trend continues with it and it's pushed hard to get them on some more big tours to get them back out there. They really were starting to make some waves after Threads came out and it basically felt like they had to restart after taking so much time off

 

can't believe they're actually doing sxsw after two failed years!!!

not sure how hyped i am for a super poppy now, now album. i want it to be dark and sad like threads

I love SGL but I was afraid of this haha. If the opener and best song is one that’s already been out for nearly a year then that’s a little dampening. Obviously sounds like there are multiple other home runs on it though so still excited.
