All three are perfect records. Threads is fall/winter for me and Saved is summer. I don’t really associate Cars with a specific season but it’s still great.
My first full listen to saved was in Auckland NZ at the tail end of their autumn season. Now that I’m in Nashville and the chill is starting to creep in: it’s Saved season. Perfect record.
I would love Saved on vinyl but it's very much a driving album for me (home with the windows down). That's when it all came together for me.
echo others here, saved is perfect for a fall bike ride (no car). also have never heard cars either until last night lol
I never gave this band a go until shortly after Threads came out, but Cars still takes me back even though I technically missed the boat. There’s just something intensely nostalgic for me when it comes to that really cozy, cardigan weather, Death Cab inspired indie rock
used to walk a mile and a half to and from work. spent many frozen utah mornings with threads and it was perfect.
I found them when Cars came out and it had such an impact on me, I started playing guitar, learning their songs, I had a massive crush on Cacie good times and thanks to the recc for Momma, I'm kinda obsessed with Two Of Me now
Anyone watched or planning to watch their Audiotree set? Hoping to find some time to check it out tomorrow! Now, Now | Audiotree Archives — Audiotree
