Sat in some Japanese junior high school staffroom wishing I could be listening to the new song on repeat.

 

Missed this album and the prior and got SOOOOO into this band in January after seeing it on end of year lists. Probably one of my favorites now. Saved is incredible and I am happy to have heard it without any expectations since I hadn’t heard their prior work. Going back and listening to threads I could see why people thought this new record was poppier. To me it definitely still sounds like the same band. Something about the structure of the melodies and well as the grooves. I love saved so much it really resonated with me and what I was going through... and am still going through.
