Weird, I was just thinking about them last night and how bummed I was that we were probably never going to get new music from them

I lost hope that we were going to get a new album from them. Was surprised and thrilled to see this on my timeline this morning.

 

Is it happening?!?

how awesome! I definitely thought they had broken up?

 

I just really hope that 1) Jess is still involved and that 2) it isn't primarily electronic.

 

So beyond excited for this.

 

I posted this little story on the NN thread (ha!) and thought it would be fitting here:

One of my friends who I turned onto the band passed away from addiction last November. It was rough. One of our last conversations was about Now,Now and how great Threads is. We listened to it on my record player at my studio and hung out all night. He asked if I heard anything about a new record and said "he would kill for another album".

Upon hearing the devastating news, I sat in my car and listened to Threads from start to finish in complete silence and it was a very emotional moment I won't ever forget.

I really can't wait for the new record and I really hope I love it. "Threads" is a record that means more to me personally than any words I can possibly type out. I'm equally excited and nervous but either way I'm glad they're coming back!

Listening to "Giants" for the first time in a while and it's still so good after 7 years.

 

Can't wait to fall in love with them all over again.

 

Wow. I completely forgot about them! Can't wait to dive back in.

 

I'm still not over the betrayal of them posting that we should turn on post notifications on instagram like three years ago, so I'm wary of news from them but so so excited for new music

Hopefully that's some new music, and not just the tour!
