Now, Now – “MJ”

This is so good.

 

Not sure if I'll love this or Carly Rae Jepsen's upcoming record more, but I've got a feeling one of the two will be a serious AOTY contender

 

Does anyone else feel like all these songs sound super similar? They're good, but I feel like all of them on a record is going to be kind of boring.

 

this song is the same verse melody as yours so, yeah. the other three are pretty distinct tho

Other way around; "Yours" is a call back. They do it on Threads too.

 

in the context of the record, yeah. but in the context of the release it feels the opposite since yours came first. i'd probably feel the way i feel about MJ about yours if they swapped the release of them.

as i said in the other thread, maybe in context it'll make more sense but as singles i definitely wasn't as sold on this track as the first three

 

So you've heard it. Probably can't say much about it. Is it as good as Threads too?

 

It's my favorite album of the year so far.
