I hope when she goes on tour they don't just throw her in arenas right away.

I listened to her ahem... discography... today chronologically. Honestly, it's a lot of good songs but it's just wild that in the last 6 years she has released a total of 10 songs, that is ALL. And of those, only two are solo tracks, three are solo tracks with features and the other 5 are collabs

 

This is pretty funny

 

So-so initial first listen of this

 

I think I liked it. Not sure if I’ll return too often but we’ll see

 

8/13 of the songs on here have under 1 million streams on Spotify which is crazy for someone with 12 million monthly listeners. It's still just the first week but it looks like she will chart below 50 on the Billboard charts which sucks. If you watch the Apple Music interview there were things in her life which caused the album delay, such as both parents having cancer, but the way her album campaign has been managed despite all that still sucks. No (new) visuals, no vinyl, no tour dates announced, etc. which are things that would bump up streams/sales/hype. Maybe things will pick up for her as the weeks go on but she really feels like a "What if..." situation if she got an album out when like, Motivation or Wild Side were doing really well.

 

My guess is that when Motivation, and even Wild Side, came out she simply didn't have an album of music ready to go, which is totally understandable. Probably could have helped to do a strong EP at that point however.
