I like O’God In all its Botch worship but it may be my least favorite. I have a hard time listening straight through. Either that or Meridional as my least favorite, which I know is an unpopular opinion. Looks like the singer from Silent Planet guests on a new NJ song. Where is my damned signed lyric print from that Redeemer Tour A YEAR AGO? That’s all I got.
I mean, yeah, it's a Botch rip-off, but it's a GOOD Botch rip-off. I've finally been getting around to listening to Norma Jean's subsequent albums, and I like all of them except The Anti-Mother.
I’ve been a Botch fan since We Are The Romans and Norma Jean did Botch better than Botch. @ me all you want
Nope. I kind of lost interest in really heavy music until recently. Glad I went back to listen to these albums.
I hate how of ALL the early 2000’s metalcore bands that ripped off Botch, this is the album that takes the heat. What about The Bled, Blood Brothers, Fear Before, Fall of Troy, Underoath (DTGL), Every Time I Die, Dillinger Escape Plan. I mean the list goes on and on.
To this day, I've never listened to Botch despite all the aforementioned bands that were heavily influenced by them.
At this point the bands doing it are so much better it’s almost not worth it save for a few select bangers. You’re better off listening to These Arms Are Snakes.
How is Botch getting a bad rap? It’s been 20 years almost since they made a record. It’s only natural people that have picked up the mantle have improved upon it. And yeah the EP is underrated.
I just personally wouldn't steer people away from checking them out. I hear what you're saying about other bands having expanded on their sound, but tbh I never got the whole "rip off" argument for a lot of those bands. The only blatant rip off I know is that riff on O God
you literally told people to actively not listen to it and listen to other stuff lmao Listen to everything from everyone imo more music for everyone
