Norma Jean Get Different on Polar Similar

That question by the author about when he screams "I hope you burn" being possible upsetting Christians was a stupid question. Great answer though ha. But when does he say "fuck"?

Cool figure out where the artwork came from. We have known they were rays, but the story behind it is neat.

Cory is 40 with 22 year old kids.

I will be okay. everything Supporter

Would never have guessed he was 40

  3. This record is settling really nicely for me. This band is one of the few that has perfected the formula for maintaining a core sound while still keeping things fresh from each record to the next

Fucking christ he's 40 and has 22-year old kids? That crazy, good for him though.

1000000 Watts, "I'm not fucking around" towards the end.

No problem; I couldn't make out what he said until the lyrics were posted on Instagram haha.

Been listening to this every day for the past week. Could be my favorite release of the year so far.

    Favorite track and why?

Oooh. So far my favorite track is probably "A Thousand Years A Minute". It sets up the closer perfectly. That track also does a good job of combining all the elements I love about Norma Jean.

I really wanted to go with "IV. The Nexus". Loved the outro; what a jam. Just wish the song went on a bit longer before the outro come in.

Also was really tempted to choose "I. The Planet".

  11. I think I love this band

Yeah this may be their best record.

Probably can't give you a why, outside of them immediately standing out on first listen but, Death is a Living Partner, An Ocean of War, and IV. The Nexus were all awesome.

  16. Way too early to tell imo, but as of right now I have a hard time seeing it passing up both of the last two. I do love this record though and think it's a well executed and necessary step in a different direction

Wrongdoers has been my jam lately. Been going back and forth between. Wrongdoers never clicked with me the way it has the last month or two.

Wrongdoers is so great. Cory's description of viewing that record in a hostile manner, because it was such a artistic accomplishment (read: obstruction) in the way of crafting their next best thing, was pretty interesting.

Most of the lyrics on this really seem to resonate with me. I can identify with a lot of the subject material. Hopefully lyrics will be included with the vinyl, because I'm still having trouble making out a lot of lines.

    Cautiously pessimistic Prestigious

Their discography is so damn solid. Have been playing through it a lot lately and it is amazing how every release really holds up.

Funny thing is the album I got into them with (O' God the Aftermath) is clearly their worst.
