I showed my horror movie class the trailer and one of my kids nonchalantly goes "The guy who plays Pops is my cousin". Keith David is her cousin!!!!

- Gives away a lot

- Hints at a tone I didn't expect

Who'd have thought Peele would go full Spielberg?

I teach an elective modern lit/film class and the focus is on the horror film.

I feel like there's got to be a twist we don't know, based on just how much that trailer revealed.

 

Definitely, Peele has been historically good with this. Also, while that trailer does give away at least two "new" plot points, we already knew it seemed to involve UFOs in some capacity and have seen the footage of people being swept up, so maybe it doesn't reveal that much when you think about it. Would still caution against watching it if you want to go in totally fresh.

I refuse to watch that second trailer since it seems to give more than I like away. I’m not surprised Peele is going full Spielberg… Universal literally wants him to be that.
