I've been waiting to rewatch this until I pick up the 4k, I think about this movie at least once a week. So good
I'm really excited for Monkey Man, Dev Patel must've made something seriously good if Peele decided to help out as producer to get it a theatrical release. Oddly enough the trailer kinda looks like it fits Peele's vibe
My take is I love the last 3 Nolan movies the most. I’m really lukewarm on most everything else prior.
I think I really only care for The Dark Knight, The Prestige, and Oppenheimer. It's been a long time since I've seen Memento and I've never seen Insomnia. Oppenheimer aside, his movies rarely if ever make sense, which isn't a problem if they're fun. Something like TENET or The Dark Knight Rises is just not fun for me, unfortunately.
I haven't seen Tenet or Oppenheimer, I thought Dunkirk was boring, but I do remember liking everything else
TDKR had crushing expectations and only somewhat lives up to them. I still can't get over the fact that the villains were on a suicide mission. And Bane's voice. Imagine if Dave Bautista was a cred actor back then as he is becoming now. Oh the difference.
Tom Hardy's acting is great. The voice though and especially the audio of the voice imo are not Edit: I don't think I even realized this was the Nope thread lol
