I wish I had liked this more, but I honestly thought it was a bit of an overstuffed mess. Definitely super effective at times, though, and I am confident that Peele has another movie in him that will work for me as much as Get Out. I liked it more than Us, at least. Also, Barbie got Sam Levinson'd, huh?
This had way more ideas than it could really flesh out within a 2 hour film, but that is so much better than the alternative. It might be time to consider Peele as the best mainstream filmmaker out there right now.
I'll admit I was unsure how I felt the first time I saw it. But i couldn't stop thinking about it. Round 2 confirmed to me this is a masterpiece and Peele's best film yet. There's a reason Nope keeps showing up on critics end of year lists to the bafflement of some that only saw it once. There's so much here, and it gets better with rewatches
So I was able to snag a copy of the 4K steel book. I don’t have a 4K setup yet but obviously all 4K’s come with a blu ray copy. However the blu ray isn’t playing in my blu ray player. I would assume my layer is Region A (I play all my other blus and criterion’s on it), and the blu ray site says this version of Nope is Region A. What gives? Am I missing something?
