I’m at Chance the Rapper’s Acid Rap anniversary show right now and he brought out Noname and then after she performed told the whole crowd how amazing Sundial is and to go stream it immediately.

I would have been very hyped about her appearance if not for the ridiculous Jay bullshit.

Yeah, sadly I would not expect Chance to care.

It really hurts to read those answers, as a Jewish person.

Yeah unfortunately an artist that has been kind of tainted to me by her entire response to that situation. I have strong enough associations with those first two records that I was eventually able to listen without all of that noise in the back of my head, but Sundial and wherever she goes from here are just too entrenched in it

  9. Like I still can’t believe she was going on about the “woke mob” and threatening to cancel the album just because her fans didn’t appreciate an open antisemite having a seat at the table

    The spiciest meme

Yea her trying to make herself the victim in that whole album cycle pretty much lost most of the respectability I had for her up to that point, being a massive fan of what she stood for.

She said some really fucked up stuff on Twitter to a friend of mine around that time too that just completely soured me on her. The way she handled the Jay situation was incredibly embarrassing, I think, and it pretty much completely undercut everything I liked and respected about her message and persona

I sometimes confuse her with Little Simz so up until now I thought the latter was the one with all this wild shit lol Glad I got it right nis
