Nope. There are tracks that I like less than others, but nothing that feels like filler or is out of place.

Hope this means he's experimenting with more "Heartbreaker" length tracks.

How was this? Did he play anything new/say anything about an album?

It was amazing as expected but nothing was said about a new album. In fact, he probably spoke less than 10 whole sentences during the entire set. It was played almost entirely on piano (other than Cigarettes and a couple others) and Abby was either playing violin or playing a piano right next to his.

As for new songs, he played Bad Desire and that one nameless tune that was so good in Grand Rapids. Something about a city/town. Can never remember.

He's obviously a very soft spoken dude but there was an extremely melancholy vibe to this set. Far more than the other 3 times I've seen him. He spent the entire show with his hood covering most of his face and he mostly stayed turned facing stage right/left

That's...odd. He's definitely an introverted guy onstage, but I enjoyed his sort of dry humor in GR. Glad to hear you still enjoyed the concert, though.

Yeah it was still great. Waited around for a half hour or so trying to get a word with him but he never came out. Did get to talk to Abby though.

Also got to talk to Chris about his new album. Also talked at length about Eaux Claires and DeYarmond Edison/JV. Was very cool.

When's the new Field Report record coming? Marigolden is one of my favorite albums of the last few years.

Is it? I assumed Noah was about as popular in the US as Dallas Green is here. Or perhaps I don't realize how much City and Colour has blown up in general

    Not even remotely close honestly.

Don't we all. This is what surprised me, at this stage I'd say Noah's substantially the better artist.

Once a Canadian artist jumps the shark, American fans are all over them.

Granted, both Noah's full-lengths are better than any of Dallas's albums (and I say this as someone who loves Sometimes). The most recent City & Colour album had a few good songs, but was mostly pretty boring and lyrically poor.

Such an awesome dude. At this point Fables might be an all time favorite for me.

Last year when he came to Michigan I sat and drank Jameson with him and his band for at least 2 hours. Dude gave me some really inspiring advice.
