Excited to give this a spin tonight. Craig and Jason have me really eager to hear what's what here.

Interesting (if brief) talk with him today. OK Computer was definitely a point of reference.

one of my FB friends compared The Sound to Leeland and I might have to silence his feed.

Yeah Craig hit the nail pretty on the head about the song that he is having trouble connecting with - it's super Radiohead influenced, almost "The National Anthem" vibes. But I love it for the reasons he might find it hard to get on board with. It's part Radiohead noise manipulation part jazz improv vibe.

    listening again, he's kinda right.
it's just the vocal delivery/production in the chorus, how he holds those notes and it kind of echoes makes me think of their vocal style now.

Wish it wasn't something I've heard a bunch of times but excited nonetheless.

Yeah I've seen him play it 3 times now.

The studio version gives the song a fresh twist, I think. Probably a good pre-release choice.

I really hope this album propels him even further, there's no reason this shouldn't catch on with the masses.

Love it so much. Interesting choices for the pre-release material. I feel like the album is a lot more experimental and weird than either of "The Sound" or "Bad Desire" represent and I mean that in the most complimentary way possible.

    Guessing this was intentional.
