If you do get it, I’ll share what I have if you do! I have the 5 track demo disc from the big White Noise bundle. It’s got some cool simpler versions of some songs off the record. “Number One Hit” is just him and a piano and it’s beautiful
Also found this online just a minute ago. It’s got the track list for the B-Sides on it. Noah Gundersen - Tour EP (2018)
Does anyone on gear already have the Tour Pin EP? I’d love to get it and since Noah’s not touring past me this time it’ll be because someone helped. I’d also love to hear the demo CD.
After the show this Thursday he'll be one of my most seen artists.. He joins Bon Iver, The Tallest Man on Earth, Alexisonfire, and City & Colour.
I'm hoping to purchase the tour EP tomorrow, and would definitely be interested in hearing the demo tracks... I'll follow up with you after Thursday.
Born and raised and returned again, with a roughly 20 year break in the middle spent in the SF Bay Area...
Cool. If you see a dude in an Eaux Claires hoodie holding 2 beers at the Blind Pig feel free to say hi!
Unlikely you'll see them on Saturday... merch guy said they could only get so many pins and they sold out early in the tour. He alsi said the EP may eventually get released through the website or whatever, but I'm not holding my breath...
No pins, no Abby... kinda regretting the 2 hour drive, but hoping for a magical show to lift my spirits!
Yeah I was one of the first ones in the door and there were no pins. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense considering it's like a week into the tour? MOSTLY impressed with the crowd. When Elizabeth got on stage and started singing it got absolutely silent and stayed that way. Half way through Noah's set there was a select few people being obnoxious. Screaming requests and responding to his stage banter as if they were having a normal conversation. Noah took it in stride though. He's hilarious on stage. He played 2 of my favorite songs I thought I'd never hear live(Liberator and Heartbreaker). It was a great mix of New and old tunes. That was the 4th time I've seen him solo but after seeing the full band set a couple months ago I really missed it. I wonder if the band just couldn't dedicate themselves to this current tour or Noah just felt like playing solo. Is there anyone in the genre that tours harder/more often than him? I don't think so. Elizabeth is incredible and I hope she can step out of his spotlight after this and do her own thing. She has just as much talent as Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker. Her set was every bit as good as Noah's and her voice is out of this world good. Before I forget.. He played a new song and it was maybe the highlight of the night. I'm pretty sure it's one that was posted earlier in the thread. Anyways, sorry for the lengthy post. Go see him fucking play if you haven't.
Jesus Christ, Noah, how did you leave a song as good as "God Don't Talk to Strangers" off this record?
Cue revisionist tracklistings! For real though, while I've grown to love White Noise -- it really represents, to me, the place my brain and love life have been in law school -- I think in taking a few songs out and replacing them with some of these b-sides, I'd have my favorite Noah album. I do love WN, but I don't go back to it often, but it does things to me.
