Yes, definitely going to write something about this one. Lyrically, I'd say it probably reminds me the most of Carry the Ghost. In general, I think it has more in common with the first two albums than with White Noise.
Song features: Erik Walters (Silver Torches, Pedro the Lion) Eric Anderson (Cataldo) Harrison Whitford (Phoebe Bridgers) Sean Lane (Pedro the Lion) Lerin Herzer
Here’s what he says about it, which I love: “I wrote this in an unapologetic attempt to get someone back. This is essentially my Lloyd Dobler at the window with Peter Gabriel on his boombox, desperately vulnerable in his trench coat and high tops. I love how many of my friends are on this track."
Listening closely to the lyrics, crazy how closely this mirrors my life right now That guitar in the bridge is very The Paper Kites-esque - love it
It really does have a Paper Kites vibe to it, reminds me of Electric Indigo or Deep Burn Blue but livelier It’s a great tune but can I say it’s a little too poppy for Noah? It’s got mainstream hit written all over it but I think the other two he’s released are better because they don’t
I really like this one. That said, the first time I heard it I def thought of this song at the "I don't wanna give you up part" haha
If the rest of the album is as good as the three singles, I'm gonna lose it on Friday. Might as well take the day off.
