Original is way better to me, but definitely a cool thing to do for fans of his stripped down origins. Personally I think the production is one of my favorite things about this album.
I like the flow on the original better too. I Wouldn’t be surprised if I liked an alt acoustic version he does for another song better though.
I've yet to see a bad KEXP performance. The lady that hosts is so warmly articulate and engaging with her guests, every sesh is a joy to listen to
I’ve enjoyed each of these Noah KEXP sessions too. I like this live version of Lover a little more. Noah does have a few lyrics every once and while that don’t love, but his voice is always amazing, and I do appreciate the musical variety.
just dropping by to say that the “Twenty-Something” EP never gets enough love. Those 4 songs absolutely cut through me every time. (The cover is awesome too but I kinda wish it wasn’t on there) the original version of heartbreaker >>>>> CTG version..
"Bag of Glass" is absolutely one of his best songs. I like the Ghost version of "Heartbreaker" more, though. Hearing the studio rattle from how loud they were playing makes that version super thrilling for me.
I'll be at the second LA show. Glad I discovered Noah through that Phoebe collab he did; Lover is one of my favorites from last year.
