I've played that song so many times. It just wrecks me. And I agree: the female vocals are incredible. Lyrically, I think it's one of his most masterful songs.
Underneath your blankets, you were too involved to see There were seven shards of bad luck and they all looked like me
same... that "when i think of robin williams at the end of his rope" line always crushes me like a ton of bricks.
Really excited to listen to this. Coincidentally I’m boarding a flight to Seattle in an hour and this will be my soundtrack for the flight out there and all week. Can’t wait.
I actually really like "All My Friends" as a stand alone song but the vibe is like wildly different than every other song on the album.
Only a few listens in but I can say that this is his best album in terms of overall flow. Nearly every song leads perfectly into the next.
This album is so good it should be illegal. Also “all my friends” sounds so much like the 1975’s She American that it kinda throws me off. Also the “I don’t wanna give you up” part of Lose You is a little Rick roll triggery.
Something about "Out of Time" sounds really familiar to me, like he's channeling an artist same way as 1975 on "All My Friends," but I can’t place it. Racking my brain trying to figure it out.
