I told you that you didn't need to be scared!

 

I wasn't ever crazy about the title track but it reaaaaally hits in the context of the album.

 

I'm glad you were right! I'm not sure what I was thinking, haha.

 

This is the only album entitled "Lover" that came out today.

 

The Spotify song credits were no help, sorry.

 

The female vocals on "Audrey Hepburn" are amazing. I definitely hear Phoebe at 3:20.

 

"i, i" has some real competition.. wooooooooooo buddy this is GREAT

 

I've played that song so many times. It just wrecks me. And I agree: the female vocals are incredible. Lyrically, I think it's one of his most masterful songs.

 

It's on repeat right now

About halfway through and this is sooooo much better than White Noise

"Little Cup" is really cool, love the restraint.

 

I was not prepared to be this emotional today at work but here we are.

 

same... that "when i think of robin williams at the end of his rope" line always crushes me like a ton of bricks.

 

Really excited to listen to this. Coincidentally I’m boarding a flight to Seattle in an hour and this will be my soundtrack for the flight out there and all week. Can’t wait.

 

I actually really like "All My Friends" as a stand alone song but the vibe is like wildly different than every other song on the album.

 

Emphatically.

 

I think my only complaint so far is that I want Crystal Creek to be 2-3 minutes longer

 

I think that’s the point.

Looking forward to it.

 

Only a few listens in but I can say that this is his best album in terms of overall flow. Nearly every song leads perfectly into the next.

 

This album is so good it should be illegal.

Also “all my friends” sounds so much like the 1975’s She American that it kinda throws me off. Also the “I don’t wanna give you up” part of Lose You is a little Rick roll triggery.

 

I didn’t listen to any of the pre release tracks. Robin Williams is so good.

 

Something about "Out of Time" sounds really familiar to me, like he's channeling an artist same way as 1975 on "All My Friends," but I can’t place it. Racking my brain trying to figure it out.
