read an interesting article this morning (that i cant find now) that reported that the rumored opening for the next bond film will be the death of his wife (lea seydoux's character from spectre) and the movie will focus on his revenge mission.

unsure how much i like it, and unsure how factual this even is since i havent read that anything has even been written yet.

 

I feel like the wife dying to motivate a guy to go on a revenge spree is a tired idea.

 

Isn't that basically the Quantum of Solace plot?

It also would have been the plot of the second George Lazenby movie, if there had been one.

Bond 25: Danny Boyle High on MGM’s List to Direct (EXCLUSIVE)

Daniel Craig does work well with Fincher. But where did that name come from haha. Unless I missed it somewhere in the article.

 

Danny Boyle would be a great choice.

 

I saw someone post that Daniel Kaluuya should be the next Bond and now I can't imagine anyone else.

 

I'll be very interested to see how quickly they cast someone after Bond 25 comes out. Based on the timelines between films lately, I feel like we might not have a movie with a new Bond until 2022/23. If that's the case, I wouldn't be surprised if we end up with a Bond that no one is even talking about for the role right now.

 

Can Dwayne the Rock Johnson be the next Bond?

 

6 years between Dalton and Brosnan, and 4 years between Brosnan and Craig. I think I'd be perfectly fine with the replacement not being anyone who is even remotely close to the list right now, because it would just mean (unless the trigger is pulled very quickly on Bond26) the person theyre looking at now would be 4-5 years older than they are now when they were put on the list.
