Die Another Day is not only the worst bond movie but one of the overall worst movies ive ever seen. Absolutely nothing redeeming about it.
I’d be hard pressed to pick a favorite between TND and TWINE, I just know they’re both better than Die Another Day hah. I guess I think World is overall cooler. Denise Richards is probably the worst part of that movie, right?
imo the Brosnan Bond movies decline in quality in their order of release. My ranking is the exact release order. TND is a very strong sophomore effort from Brosnan and Michelle Yeoh and Jonathan Pryce are both also great in their roles. TWINE is mostly fine, but the villains suck so much in that one. The intentions to make the storyline feel more personal as it was very connected to M were good, but felt like they kinda fumbled it to much in a few spots.
lowkey my favorite thing about the Brosnan-era may be all the great video games we got out of that era hah
I liked Renard and the whole can’t feel pain thing was fun, but thought the Electra King character was…I don’t know what the right word is. I thought she did good acting wise with the material they gave her but something about the character felt off or something. They definitely did worse with the female characters in his movies in release order imo, started out strong and then really didn’t give them much good to work with as time went on. Though the Xena Onotopp character was…interesting lol
yeah absolutely, I was just kinda musing about what my 2nd favorite Brosnan would be. The middle two are close for me.
lol yup. GoldenEye was an obvious classic, and the others kept the formula going for a while. We all know the 2nd best Bond game of that era was Nightfire. Grappling hooking back and forth across the map during fire fights lol
Wait was that the one where you could grapple all over? I remember they both had it but one let you grapple anywhere and the other oyu had to find specific places that the grapple could attach to haha
Yeah that's true. I think TND is the weakest one and that one was still kinda cool. World's was awesome.
I kept thinking how much a cool ass video game should have been launched for B25 - missed opportunity
The best video game was the one that you could pilot remote control helicopters and kill each other in multiplayer
The opening of Die Another Die actually made me think "is everyone wrong about this?" The stuff with him with the big beard about to be executed in North Korea kinda worked for me. But then it just falls off a cliff.
