Rewatched Spectre the other night, it was the first time since I saw it in theaters. The first half was better than I remembered, but yeah, screeching halt once they get to the base in the middle of the desert. The double whammy of "I'm behind everything" and "I'm your step brother" is such an astronomically bad move, it's literally baffling. I hope they can somehow retcon that in No Time to Die.
Yeah the James Bonding guys have Spectre at the bottom as well; universal at this point that it's the worst of the Craig films
I don't see what retconning anything would do at this point besides wasting time. Making them unrelated now would just make the plot hole bigger and adds nothing to the table besides making Blofeld a nutjob. As for being behind everything, TV Tropes actually does a decent job of explaining how if you look at him as being a financial backer and not literally behind everything, it actually makes a fair amount of sense.
Idk, it seems SO obvious that it could be Dr No from the trailer that it seems like it would be a misdirect.
If you're in the know, you're Dr. Know. If you're not, then you're Dr. No Know. And if you're prone to mistakes, then you're Dr. No-No.
Guess I am still one of the few who is a fan of Spectre but I do hope this one continues the winning streak this series has been on that was started with Casino Royale after two major disappointments before it.
I like Spectre as well, though it did have some issues with trying to be too clever with the Blofeld twists. It’s a situation where keeping it simple would have better served the movie.
spectre > qos, but one of those isn’t quite *easily* better than the other, so it’s kinda not worth taking up so much oxygen with
