I'm basically going to live in a movie theater in October. 10/1 - The Many Saints of Newark 10/8 - No Time to Die 10/15 - The Last Duel/Halloween Kills/Venom: Let There Be Carnage 10/22 - Dune/Jackass Forever/The French Dispatch 10/29 - Last Night in Soho
Like…pushing this shit isn’t going to make a difference. You need to release your fucking movies. People are not going back to theaters in droves probably ever.
It makes zero sense to bump it back. They have also been pumping out all the big promotions beyond those final trailers. So… I’m in the camp that this stays put.
It is hard for it to ever make sense because this is all so new to everyone. There was a two-week period where it looked like people could stop wearing masks and vaccination rates would keep climbing, but then the delta variant happened. Committing to releasing it, delaying it, or anything in between is a gamble.
October was too crowded , I can see why a couple things will move , but not everything. Bond should stick their feet in the mud. Halloween too. I could see SoHo move even though it’s spooky-ish.
Exactly. Stop delaying shit and just put it out. Whoever feels comfortable can go see it in the theater and then 45 days later put it up on digital.
i’m pretty sure i said in this thread after the first delay to put it out for like $50 and people told me it should cost as much as the mulan movie or whatever lol
It’s also weird because like…you could release JUST this one simultaneously. No one is making you do it forever.
