Seeing Instupendo and Misogi on here is freaking awesome.

 

Making your debut album based off an itch you wanna scratch instead of the sound that people have come to expect from you is certainly a choice! Maybe why I haven’t come back to this much

 

I really enjoyed his album, interested in whatever is next

 

I think I've liked everything he's released since he joined Dirty Hit, honestly.

 

I wonder whatever happened to that track Salute dropped to open his Secret Sky set…

 

Need that follow-up to this he was talking about

 

Gotta be a new album this year.

 

I feel like the hype reallyyyyy fell off

 

I’m going to try and find the bonus tracks, also new music being worked on

 

I’ve been hunting for those bonus tracks for ages, post here if somebody finds them!

@Matt Metzler has posted about him a few times in here, but just wanna give a head’s up that James Ivy just put out a record a few days ago. James doesn’t really have the R&B flavoring that Rome can sometimes have but he remains a pretty solid RIYL for the 90s pop/rock sensibilities

 

He also works pretty closely with Roy Blair... Speaking of which I miss that guy

James Ivy is hands down my favorite artist right now. For anyone who's just now checking him out, or if you've only heard some but want to hear it all, I sequenced both EPs and the stand-alone tracks into a single playlist:
