We have our final round matchup for the self-titled record! I'm actually a little surprised at the second finalist tbh, although it's plenty worthy. Here we go!

Hard choice as these are my two favorites. Time to Say Goodbye is the most "classic" Simple Plan song on the album, but I gotta say Take My Hand is more special and a little more worthy winner of this album.

Honestly, When I'm Gone is probably my favorite off this album. That chorus is a hook and a half.

I know! Made me sad :( Listened to it in the car on the way to work this morning.

 

Depending on my mood, it might be a toss up between When I'm Gone and What If. Totally agree on the chorus though.

 

Anyone else left to vote? This could swing either way!

 

Yeah it's always been my favorite song on this album. Actually really surprised the two songs that are in the last round. Didn't think it'd be either one of them.

 

Well, with no votes cast in a while, I think it's time to declare our winner for the self-titled album: Time To Say Goodbye. Kind of a surprise in my opinion, as it wasn't one I would have tagged as a favorite at the start. (For the record, I would have voted for Take My Hand in the final.)

Our next album up will be 2011's Get Your Heart On. As some have mentioned, this might be considered their weakest album, but there's some good songs to be found on it at least.

Jet Lag (one of the best songs -, and by far the best collab on this album)

Last One Standing (easy choice, Anywhere Else But Here is the worst song on the album IMO)

This Song Saved My Life (I like both, but I'll give this the edge because of how it was written)

I actually like this album a lot. I like every song except Anywhere Else But Here. I do however prefer the non-rap version of Summer Paradise, the "yeahs" and "woah ohs" aren't great but still a little better than the awful rapping.

Totally agree on all of your points. However, despite not being a great song, I still think Anywhere Else has a certain catchiness to it lol. This Song Saved My Life might be my favorite from this album, although some people thought the way they wrote it was cheesy :(

 

More cheesy than the rest of their lyrics? lol. I think it was kind of cool, especially when the choir of fans kicks in during the last chorus.
