I swear that we used to have a thread about this band.

Anyways, looks like recording is occurring for LP 2!

Can they put their first album on Apple Music?

 

Hopefully whichever label they’re working with on this album re-releases so it can be on streaming services. Since Collect shuttered, all their stuff got taken off.

 

Man I didn’t even realize all their stuff was gone from streaming, that’s unfortunate.

 

Gonna find a download of the first album to revisit when I get home tonight... in the meantime I'm revisiting Thursday's "No Devolucion" for the first time in way too long, and my god it's still such a masterpiece.

 

This thread bump actually inspired me to throw on the album, which I am in the middle of now

 

Hard to believe it's already 4 years old. Fall 2015 was one of my most defining music periods this decade, and their album already makes me feel nostalgic of that time.

 

I bought the debut on vinyl the other day as I hadn’t heard this it in a long time and all the talk in the Thursday thread had reminded me of it. It really is such a great album, so many The Cure vibes all over it.

 

I see this project compared to The Cure a lot... I’ve only ever really listened to the big singles by The Cure (Friday I’m In Love, etc.) and never a full album tbh. I should probably change that, huh?

 

For years I only knew the singles (I had one of their best of comps years ago). This year though I've gone through a real 80's phase and recently done a deep dive on The Cure. Disintegration is amazing and definitely has a lot in common with the sound on this album so I'd suggest starting there. I've found you can really hear their influence on a lot of the 90' emo in their music, especially in the guitars.

 

Yeah, I’m definitely gonna check Disintegration. One of those classic albums I somehow never got around too.

Also, re-downloaded the No Devotion album... still so good!!

 

Oh that's a doozy, and I know it's going to hit hard due to how Lostprophets defined my childhood despite the circumstances.
